It is part of the large family of cucurbits but it is certainly one of the most surprising.

This squash is called "spaghetti" for its unique flesh that gives long filaments resembling the famous Italian pasta when cooked.

The stringy flesh of this squash makes it possible to cook it the same way you would cook real spaghetti.
