Calamansi or Filipino citrus are various citrus species, belonging to the family of Rutaceae and are very popular in South East Asia. Calamansi is the size of a lime. Its thin ring is Yellow green with an orange flesh, that makes it very juicy.
The flavour of this fruit is a cross between Lemon and lime, with a hint of tangerine and passionfruit and has a sweet and bitter taste. Calamansi is used in both savoury and sweet dishes.
Calamansis are produced by Agrumes Baches, French farmers who have the biggest french collection of premium fruits with more than 800 species and harvest between November to June.
